At the agility course you can watch the dogs as they jump the hurdles, scoot through the padded tunnel, go up and over the "A" ramp and fly through the giant tire. Thirsty? Get a cool drink of fresh water from the specially made Pet and Human fountain.

Adopt one of the many flower boxes that adorn the run. In May you can plant your own or use the flowers the Parks Dept. provides us with from their Greenhouse.

Come relax and take in the view

The dog run is nestled on a hill surrounded by beautiful forestry and serenity in Forest Park, Queens. It is here that people come from all around to bring their dogs to run off leash and have a good time. There are plenty of benches for relaxing and sharing the gift of gab or just being in the shade under one of the canopies. Owners of little dogs can enjoy the safety in the enclosed small dog run area.

Change is a good thing

It was 14 short years ago that the dog run was formed. The land was being used as a corral for the horses of the NYPD Mounted Unit. When it was no longer needed by them, it was eventually tranformed into the dog run we know today. This was done through the determination of Ronnie Niles of Woodhaven and the permission of the NYC Dept. of Parks

The K9 Korral Inc. is a 501(c)3 non profit organization. All donations are tax deductable.

All proceeds go to the K9 Korral Inc. and are used for maintenance, tools and necessary repairs.
